Billy Jack Grider, age 38, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Friday, April 22, 2011 in St. John’s Medical Center. He was born May 20, 1972, in Langley, Va., to Danny and Jessie (Oberbeck) Grider. He was a 1991 graduate of Strafford High School. Billy was instrumental in the daily operations of Precision Machining of Ozark until he became disabled in 2005.
He was preceded in death by his father, Danny Grider.
He is survived by his mother, Joann and step-father, Jack Rinker; three children, Taylor, Sydney, and Ally Grider, all of Nixa; sister, Dana Grider, Springfield; and two brothers, Travis Grider and wife Amber, Springfield, and Jack Rinker and wife Amber, St. Petersburg, Fla.; and five nieces and nephews, Nicholas Hamm, Hope Hamm, Dalee Pope, Maddox Grider, and Broden Grider.
Billy had an extraordinary heart and smile. He was loved by all who knew him, including a long list of friends and extended family.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, April 26, 2011 in Northside Christian Church with Pastor Bushnell officiating. Burial will be held in Eastlawn Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m., on April 25, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
