Birdie Marie Nadine Legan, 85, Springfield, Mo. passed away Thursday, March 9, 2017. She was born in Buffalo, Mo. on September 9, 1931, to Leonard and Effie (Ownby) Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Legan and her daughter, Paula Marie Legan. Birdie loved square dancing and being with her family. She loved her Lord and was a member of the First Free Will Baptist Church.
Survivors include her sons Tim Legan and Steve and his wife Teresa Legan, all of Springfield, Mo. four grandchildren; Chris Legan and his wife Jessie, Andrea Brown and her husband Adam, Sarah Manges, and Matt Legan and his wife Laura. She is also survived by a brother and his wife; James and Shirley Smith, Aurora, Mo. 10 geat-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews
Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 14, 2017, in Riverview-Sweeney Cemetery, near Buffalo, Mo. Visitation will be Monday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. in Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
