He married Esther Phillips, on December 21, 1952, they enjoyed 58 years of wedded bliss before her passing in 2011. Bob was retired from the Military and the U.S. Postal Service. He also spent many hours as a volunteer at Cox Hospital.
He is survived by his son Richard Buckner, daughter; Vicki Holbert and her husband Jay, a nephew: Wesley Phillips.
Graveside Services will be held at 9:00 a.m. Friday, October 5, 2012 at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery. No visitation is planned. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Missouri Veterans Cemetery.
