It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Bobbie “Bob” Lester Snider, beloved husband, Father, Grandfather and cherished friend, who departed this life on Monday, June 15, 2026, at Maranatha Village at the age of 98. He was born on March 11, 1928 in Springfield, Missouri, to Virgil E. and Hazel E. (Peck) Snider. He was united in marriage to Leona (Potter) Snider, at the North National Church of Christ, where they were long-time members for many years, which is now the Watermill Church of Christ. They celebrated 72 years of marriage, before Leona’s passing on August 6, 2025 Bob spent his life devoted to his family and to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He spent many years serving as an Elder and working at the church for many activities. Bob spent many years working in the city of Springfield, building many homes in this area
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and by his sister: Carol Drumright. He leaves behind his two sons: Kelly Snider and his wife, Connie, and Lindy Snider and his wife, Joan. He is also survived by his grandchildren: Andy Snider (Kellie), Justin Snider (Sheena), Ashley Parnell (Ben), Brandon Snider (Allison), and Bryan Snider (Monika), and his great-grandchildren: Abigail Snider, Audrey Snider, Brookelyn Snider, Drew Snider, Emma Snider, Carver Parnell, Avery Parnell, Logan Snider, and Dawson Snider.
Throughout his life, he cultivated joy and warmth in his family, creating a legacy of love and hard work that will forever be cherished by those who knew him.
Family and friends are invited to pay their respects and celebrate Bob’s life at the visitation, which will be held at Watermill Church of Christ on Thursday, June 18, 2026, starting at 10:00 a.m. A funeral service honoring his life will follow at 11:00 a.m., Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Memorial Donations may be made to the Fair Haven Children’s Home, Strafford, MO. or to the charity of choice. .
