Bobbie Juaneze Morin, born February 2, 1935, to Lee and Pearl Prater, passed away peacefully in her son’s home on April 5, 2025, at the age of 90.
Bobbie was a woman of quiet strength and resilience, finding joy in the simple pleasures of life. She enjoyed bowling, coloring, knitting, and cross-stitching, using these hobbies to bring comfort and creativity into her daily life. A devoted reader of the Bible, Bobbie drew inspiration and peace from its teachings. She also had a deep love for Westerns and biblical movies, often spending hours watching stories that reflected her values of faith and perseverance.
In her final year, Bobbie developed a fascination with YouTube channels that explored ancient Native American ruins and desert rock art. This interest sparked a sense of wonder and connection to the past, providing her with a new source of joy and discovery.
Bobbie’s life, though not without its challenges, was marked by a quiet determination to embrace the things that brought her happiness. She will be remembered for her resilience, her love of creativity, and her unshakeable faith, which guided her through the years. Her memory will continue to inspire all who knew her.
Bobbie is survived by her children, Robert Morin, William Morin and Deana Cortez, six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, and her sister Sue Burnell.
Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, her husband William Morin Jr., sister Pansy Wiese, brother Royce Prater, and her nephew Scott Prater.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, April 10, 2025 from 4:00pm to 6:00pm. A funeral service will be held Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 6:00pm. Burial will be in Hico, Texas at Hico City Cemetery on Tuesday, April 15, 2025 at 1:00pm.
