Bonnie Isobel (Rowland) Brite , 92, of Kimberling City, MO died January 6, 2013 at Skaggs Hospital in Branson, MO. She was born May 14,1920 in Artesia, NM to Lewis and Ursula Rowland. She was a graduate of Artesia (NM) High School and attended the University of Missouri at Columbia. She operated retail clothing stores for her father and later owned stores at Springdale, AR, Buffalo, MO and later at Branson, MO with her husband Bill Brite, whom she married in 1966. Bill Brite built their retirement home on Table Rock Lake where they resided for 25 years. Winters were spent on the Florida Keys for those retirement years. Bonnie was a member of 1st Church of Christ Scientist in Springfield, MO.
She is survived by her brother, Dr. Ray Rowland of St. Joseph, MO and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Ursula, her sister, Ferne Wiseman of Mt. Home, AR and brothers, Dale Rowland of Rogers, AR, Wayne Rowland of Cassville, MO, Glenn Rowland of Springfield, MO.
As requested by Bonnie, there will be no visitation or memorial service. Cremation was by Greenlawn Funeral Home Branson and her remains interred with husband Bill in the wall of Veteran’s Memorial Cemetery in Springfield, MO.
