Bonnie Jean (Roberts) Drake, age 83 of Springfield, Missour, departed this life on Saturday, March 17, 2012 in The Neighborhoods at Quail Creek after a gallant battle with cancer. She was born June 26, 1928, in Fayetteville, Arkansas. She was a long-time member of Central Christian Church in Springfield and a life-long bowler.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Virgil; her parents, Stone and Della Roberts; and sister, Anna Lee Porter.
Survivors include two sons, Rick Drake and wife Henrietta and Jon Drake and his wife Patti all of Springfield, Missouri; one grandaughter, Aimee Drake; two great grandsons, Jackson and Leighton all of Ozark, Missouri; two sisters, Marjorie Duncan and Saundra Payne and husband Charles; brother, Donald Roberts all of Fayetteville, Arkansas; sister-in-law, Twila Mae Burson of Catoosa, Oklahoma; brother-in-law, Gail Drake of California and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Wednesday, March 21, 2012 at 1:00 p.m., with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held tonight, from 6:30-7:30 p.m., in the funeral home.
