Bonnie Lois Hallett, age 87, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on December 24, 2025, at Birch Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center of Springfield. Bonnie Lois Hallett, age 87, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away on December 24, 2025, at Birch Pointe Health and Rehabilitation Center of Springfield. Bonnie was born to Homer Hallett and Trixie (Frazee) Hallett on February 18, 1938 in Willow Springs, MO.
Bonnie’s career as a Registered Nurse was mostly spent in Cincinnati Ohio. She continued her career later after moving to Springfield, Mo in the 1980s at Cox Hospital – South. She loved her job and dearly loved her patients. After Bonnie retired from Cox Hospital she enjoyed working at Yellowstone National Park for several summers.
Bonnie was a long time active member at Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Springfield.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her father, Homer Hallett; mother, Trixie Hallett; sisters: Lorene Joslin, Louise Short; brother, Eugene Hallett; and nephew, Jack Short. She is survived by her sister-in-law Bonnie “Bonita” Hallett; brother-in-law George Joslin; nieces: Sarah Wray, Peggy Short, Dominique Hallett; nephews: David Joslin, Tim Joslin, Blaine Short, John Short, Shea Hallett.
A visitation for Bonnie will be held on Monday, 5th of January, 2026, at 11:00 AM, at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, Missouri, with the service to follow. The burial will follow at 3:00PM, at Epps Cemetery located in Pomona, Missouri.
