Bonnie Sue Heather, aged 87, who left us peacefully on June 28, 2026, in her beloved Springfield, Missouri. Born on July 29, 1938, in Springfield, Bonnie was a proud resident of the community she cherished throughout her life.
Bonnie graduated from high school and dedicated herself to her work as a laborer in the factory industry, where her strong work ethic and determination left a lasting impression on her colleagues and friends. She was not only a dedicated worker but also a loving mother and grandmother whose warmth and compassion fostered a close-knit family.
She was preceded in death by her daughter: Joy Childers-White, and her loving parents, Joseph and Nola Ramsey.
Bonnie is survived by her loving daughter, Teresa Ingram, and son-in-law, Mark Ingram; her devoted sons, Jackson Childers and Scott Childers, and daughter-in-law, Laura Childers; as well as her cherished grandchildren: Tabatha Curry, Rachel Wolfrath, Cassandra Jennings, Daniel Childers, and Bradley Childers. Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren, Isaac Wolfrath, Hannah Wolfrath, Colton Jennings, Kaylee Jennings, and William Childers, Caleb Dalton and Jacob Dalton, special niece, Ena Sue Dennis, of whom brought immense joy to her life. Also a host of other relatives and close friends.
The family invites all who knew and loved Bonnie to join them in honoring her memory at a funeral service on Thursday, July 2, 2026,10:00 AM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, where family and friends can gather to share stories and remember the beautiful life Bonnie led.
In this time of sorrow, we celebrate Bonnie’s life, her unwavering spirit, and the love she so freely gave. She will be deeply missed but lovingly remembered by all whose lives she touched. A special thank you to all the staff and residents at the Cambridge who were Bonnie’s second family.
