Brenda Dawn Blanton of Springfield, MO passed away unexpectedly at home, Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at the age of 58. Brenda was born August 5, 1961 in Albuquerque, NM to Glen Davis Bateman and Barbara Jeanette (Huey) Bateman. On February 6, 2011, Brenda married her best friend, Daniel E. Blanton.
Brenda attended Kickapoo High School (Springfield, MO) and later graduated from Crowley High School (Crowley, TX) in 1979. Brenda received her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from MSU in 2006.
At the time of her death, Brenda was employed by Scrambler’s Diner.
Brenda saw goodness in everyone and was inspired by others’ accomplishments and abilities. Brenda was an observer of humanity, She was incredibly humble, had an enviable work ethic and always strove to do her best. She derived her greatest sense of pride from being the Grandmother to Maelee, Lucas, Kaden and Isaac. Brenda was a determined follower of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Brenda will be lovingly remembered by her husband, Daniel E. Blanton (Springfield, MO.) her daughter, Captain Rendi G. Alexander (wife Lisa) Satellite Beach, FL.), her precious granddaughter, Maelee Elizabeth, and her adorable infant grandsons, Lucas Daniel and Kaden Scott Alexander. Brenda is also survived by her sister, Renee J. Greene (Amauro Obregon) (Springfield, MO), her sister, Y Yvette Clark (Carrolton TX), her mother-in-law Claudia “Dee” Butler, sisters-in-law, Tammy Brunner (husband David), Tina Guskos (husband Tony), brother-in-law, Dusty Butler (wife Tonya) (St. Joseph, MO) and many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews who will miss her.
Brenda is preceded in death by her father, Glen D. Bateman, mother Barbara J. Huey, father-in-law Dennis Blanton, brother-in-law, Milton “Buddy” Clark and her precious infant grandson, Isaac Carlisle Alexander.
