Brenda Manley of Strafford Missouri passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday September 23rd 2026.
Brenda was born on May 5th, 1954, to Ray and Shirley Rust. She was raised in Marshfield, Missouri where she had some of her fondest memories of growing up. She graduated from Marshfield High School in 1972. She loved reminiscing of her days playing the flute in the marching band and twirling her baton. Music remained an important part of her life throughout the years. You could always find her playing the piano or singing a song. She was a very talented person between music, sewing, quilting and creating. She loved the Lord and her faith carried her through many trials and tribulations.
She was kind, gracious and opinionated. She wasn’t one to care about rules or limitations especially when it came to those roller coasters that she probably wasn’t supposed to ride.
Over the years she worked for MFA, Strafford school district as a bus driver and later in administration, and as the Secretary for Immanuel Baptist Church, which she was most proud of.
She married Mike Manley in March of 1991, and the couple shared 35 years together. She was blessed with three children, five grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, as well as five siblings who she loved deeply.
She is preceded in death by her parents Ray and Shirley Rust and her sister Deanna Medley. She is survived by her husband Mike, her three children, Stephen wife Missy, Kevin, and Katie husband Taylor. Five grandchildren: Samantha Prine, Curtus Smith, Jaxon Smith, Kallynn Smith, and Jake Smith. Two great-grandchildren Colter Smith and Lucca Hill. Four Brothers Mike wife Cathy, Richard wife Belinda, Ronnie wife Brenda, and Jason wife Geneine. Her loving mother-in-law, Wanda Manley, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends
Her memory, talent, and love will live on in us forever.
Services will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home North on Wednesday September 30th visitation from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. service is following.
In lieu of flowers we ask that donations be made in her memory to the mission fund at first Baptist Church of Strafford
