Bruce Alan Graves, 66, of Springfield, MO. Passed away, in his home, surrounded by loved ones on January 22, 2023.
Bruce was born in Independence, MO. On September 27, 1956, to Wallace Graves and Patty Jean Ferguson. Bruce grew up and attended school in Kirkwood, MO. He went on to graduate from Southwest Missouri State University with a degree in vocational agriculture as well as obtaining a mathematics teaching Certificate. Mr. Graves, as he was known by his students, taught middle school and high school mathematics in several school districts in Missouri, to include Macks Creek, Chadwick, Strafford and Galena school districts.
Bruce enjoyed the outdoors and grew up working on the farm. He also had a love of hunting and fishing. He loved all types of music but especially loved Jazz.
Bruce also had a knack for designing and creating things. He was also known as a gamer extraordinaire, board games, card games, video games. He was even known to gift games to his friends and to children in the neighborhood. Countless hours over the years were spent with family and friends.
Bruce was preceded in death by his parents James and Patty Graves.
Bruce is survived by his loving life’s companion Tina George, who was by his side for 45 years, and his brother James Graves, who is a medical biologist at the University of Detroit.
