Bruce Wayne Bills, 83, Springfield, MO. passed away in his home, on March 9, 2023. Bruce was born on March 11, 1939, in Springfield, MO. to Noel and Mildred (Petersen) Bills. He was a member of the Macedonia Baptist Church, where he spent his entire life, serving his local church in many capacities. He was an Eagle Scout and he also knew sign language, and spent some of his time interpreting for the deaf. Bruce was a volunteer for the Springfield Little League Baseball Program. Bruce was a Electrician, retiring in 2001, after 44 years of service. He was a graduate of Parkview High School, in 1957., and attended the IBEW 453 Apprentice School in 1963. In his spare time, he enjoyed Fishing, Hunting, Wood Carving , Baseball, and Gardening.
Bruce was preceded in death by his Mother, Father, and his sister. On June 6, 1958, Bruce and Patsy Sue Crabtree, were united in marriage, in Springfield, MO. Patsy Sue Bills survives her husband, as well as their children: daughter: Vicki Ratcliff and her husband, Bruce, and three sons: Ben Bills and his wife, Carol, Kyle Bills, and Josh Bills and his wife, Garnet, as well as eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Bruce is also survived by many other life-long friends. The family would like to thank Regional Hospice and Wilson Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for his excellent care.
Memorial services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 24, 2023, at Macedonia Baptist Church, with burial to follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. before services at the church
