Kallista (Callista) Renee Fisher was born in Springfield, Missouri December 24th, 2005. Kallista was tragically killed in a car accident on December 7th, 2023.
Kallista grew up in Willard, Missouri where she attended Willard Schools her entire school career. She was extremely intelligent and excelled academically, starting from a very young age. She was eager to learn, even checking out the Dictionary from the school library. She enjoyed school and being around her friends and would get upset if she had to miss a single day. Kallista was passionate about art and strived to perfect her artistic abilities as she got older. Kallista gave 100% in everything she did and was known for being a bit of a perfectionist. In her eyes her artwork and/or writings were a direct representation of her therefore could be nothing but perfect. Music also played an important part of her life and often she used it to express herself. You could often hear her rocking to 80’s & 90’s even current rock and alternative rock music. She shared this love of music with her father Coy. They also shared a passion for old S10 pickups and this eventually became Kallista’s first vehicle. She took pride in her trucks & again made sure to fix it up in a way that expressed who she was. Kallista was an animal lover, specifically a love for cats. She was thrilled when she brought home a kitten she ended up naming Mochi. When Kallista wasn’t home working diligently on her art or cuddling with her cat she could be found hanging out with her friends or spending time with her boyfriend. Kallista’s friends and boyfriend were always extremely important to her, they were her second chosen family. Kallista was confident and secure with who she was which inspired others to be their most authentic selves. We would often catch her checking herself out in any reflective surface and when we would tease her she would respond with “gotta make sure I look swag”. She was and will forever be the coolest person in the room.
