Carl Douglas Jungers, Sr., age 69, of Ft. Myers, FL, passed away Sunday, June 3, 2012, at Mercy Hospital. He was born January 10, 1943, in AR, to Frank and Alma (Nicely) Jungers. He was an innovative entrepreneur and business leader. He was loved and admired by his family and countless friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister Marylou O’Brien; and one sister in-law Billie Jungers.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen Jungers of Ft. Myers, FL; seven children: Carl (Doug) Jungers, Jr. (Stephani) of Ozark, MO, Deborah Hamilton (Mark) of Nixa, MO, Daniel Jungers (Mickey) of Lakewood Ranch, FL, David Jungers (Leisa) of Rogersville, MO, Dennis Jungers of Rogersville, MO, Darren Jungers of Estero, FL, Alexandra Drobnic of Springfield, MO; first wife Pattie Venuti of Rogersville, MO; 12 grandchildren; two brothers: Gerald Jungers of St. Louis, MO, and Ronald Jungers (Velma) of Jackson, MO; one sister Sharon Hall of Estero, FL; brother in-law James O’Brien of St. Louis, MO; as well as several other relatives and friends.
A mass of Christian burial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, June 8, 2012, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Springfield, MO, with Fr. Tom McCain officiating. Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 7, 2012, at Grenlawn Funeral Home East. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association.
