Carl William Parker, Jr., age 65, was born in K.C., Missouri on March 18, 1946, and passed away on May 28, 2011. He was preceded in death by his parents Carl W. Sr. and Mildred (Cowl) Parker. He had spent the last 18 years in Springfield, Missouri, and had retired from the Wooten Company. He had a great spirit who loved pulling pranks by catching you off guard. He just loved the reaction that people gave by one of his tom fooleries.
He is survived by his life companion Sandra Sue Gerlt of Springfield, MO; three children: Jerry Parker of Springfield, Rusty and Jean Parker of Kansas City, MO, and Shawn Parker of Grain Valley, MO; two step-children: Bryan and Lisa Gerlt of Virginia, and Kelly Goins of Springfield; raised grandson Matt Gerlt, 12 other grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren; as well as other relatives and friends.
According to Carl’s wishes his body will be cremated. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home South, Springfield, MO.
