Carmileta Rio Paschall, 86, of Springfield passed away peacefully March 25, 2024. Carmileta was born in Ozark, Missouri to Homer and Florene Collins on August 31, 1937.
Carmileta was a loving mother and homemaker. Her faith was important to her and she was an avid Bible reader until her fading eyesight made it difficult. She enjoyed listening to music, especially classic country and old hymns. Carmileta loved animals—all animals. She had many furry companions throughout her years but loved her cats and her grand-dogs. She enjoyed spending time with her family, whether family get togethers, riding with them on day trips, or just being together. She will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by all those who knew and loved her.
Carmileta is survived by her three sons: Brent Paschall and wife Becky; Brian Paschall, who cared for her in the home as her health declined; and Mark Paschall and wife Debbie. She was blessed with four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren in Missouri and Texas.
Visitation will be at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, starting at 10:00AM, Friday, April 5, 2024. Services will begin at 11:00AM at the funeral home, with burial to follow at Rock Prairie Cemetery, Pleasant Hope, MO.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Southwest Missouri Humane Society.
