Carol J. Kirsch (Mimi), Stephenville, Texas (formerly of Branson, Missouri and Kansas City, Missouri), passed away on Wednesday, April 3, 2024.
Carol was born on January 21, 1934 in Buffalo, Missouri, the daughter of Edgar and Gertrude Kahler. She graduated from Buffalo High School in 1952. She attended college in Springfield, MO and later moved to Kansas City, MO in 1962. She was employed by Missouri Gas Energy for 25 years. After retiring, she moved to Branson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Orlie Kirsch, two brothers, Leland and Hershel Kahler, and one sister, Willa Anderson. She is survived by her daughter, Linda Owens (Dean) of Stephenville, TX , her grandchildren Scott McLerran (Stephanie) of Jefferson City, MO and Alyssa Huckabee (Brandon) Stephenville, TX , great-grandchildren Brinley Huckabee, Ella Huckabee, and Myles McLerran and her brother, Bill Kahler of Springfield, MO. She is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home South in Springfield, MO, on Thursday, April 11, 2024 from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., followed by burial at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, MO.
Carol was known and loved by many and will be fondly remembered for her love of chocolate, love of travel, playing her piano, enjoying a meal with friends, and her thoughtfulness and generosity.
