In Loving Memory of Carol Sue Frye
November 15, 1937 – November 8, 2023
Carol Sue Frye, a beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2023, at the age of 85. Carol was born in Villa Ridge, Missouri on November 15, 1937. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Carol dedicated her life to her family, finding joy and fulfillment in her role as a loving homemaker. She was an avid doll collector and loved to sew and quilt. Though her formal education ended after high school, she possessed a wealth of wisdom and life experiences that she generously shared with those around her.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Linda Smith and Sandra Montgomery, who will forever carry her memory in their hearts. Carol’s grandchildren, Dianna Glon and husband Cameron Glon, Jessica Savoie and husband Robert Savoie, Jillian Smith and Jeffrey Smith meant the world to her, and her light will shine on through them. She was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Juliette Savoie, Henry Savoie, and Anna Savoie who brought immense happiness to her life.
Carol was preceded in death by her loving husband Elmer Frye whom she missed greatly for many years.
A celebration of Carol Frye’s life will be held on Monday, November 13, 2023. The day will begin with a family viewing at Greenlawn Funeral Home South at 12:00 pm. Following the viewing, a graveside service will take place at Resurrection Cemetery at 1:00 pm. officiated by Father Thomas Reidy. Family, friends, and all whose lives were touched by Carol are invited to attend and pay their final respects.
As we gather to honor Carol’s memory, let us celebrate her life and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be remembered for her kind heart, warm spirit, and unwavering love for her family. May her journey onward be peaceful, as she finds eternal rest.
