Carolyn Ann Johnson (Buckner), 74, of Fair Grove, MO., passed away peacefully Thursday, April 28, 2016 at Mercy Hospital. She was born December 22, 1941 in Springfield MO. to Benjamin and Velta Buckner. Carolyn had been employed at Bass Pro Catalog for 22 years. She was a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church.
Carolyn loved playing bingo with her friends, fishing, traveling, and cruising Kearney St. with her teenage children and grandchildren. She loved her grandchildren dearly. She was preceded in death by her father and mother.
Carolyn is survived by her children: Kim Faught and husband, Rodney Faught, Melissa Johnson Swearengin and husband, Mike Swearengin, Shannon Johnson and his wife Teresa Johnson, six grandchildren; Brandi Fetterhoff, Sierra Faught, Ashley and Tanner Forshee, Cole and Makenzie Johnson, four great-grandchildren; Cameron and Caleb Fetterhoff, Easton Hord, and Englynd Forshee. She is also survived by her brother, Charles Buckner, one sister; Betty Kennemer and husband Lowell, and special friends, Jeanne Stinson and Phillis Irvine.
There will be a visitation on Monday, May 2, 2016, 10:00-11:00am, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Immediately following there will be a graveside service at White Chapel Cemetery. Memorial Donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
Carolyn was a precious mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was a world traveler that jumped in the car anytime it was moving. She loved life and her family and has left such a sweet legacy of love and acceptance of all.
