Mrs. Carolyn Sue Poore of Springfield, Missouri passed peacefully on March 26, 2019 at Age 72.
Carolyn was born in Ada, Oklahoma to her parents W.A. and Edna Holder.
Dedicated wife to her late husband Dale Poore.
She may have been retired, but she stayed busy devoting her time to her church, her community – especially the Building Bridges Program, gardening, and spending time with her family and pup Rascal. She was known for her love of George Straight and inability to pass up a good garage sale!
You may have run into her at your local Wal-Mart, where she gleefully decorated cakes, as well as attending the fabrics department (to fuel her quilting obsession). Or, possibly you remember her from her Sears Photography career, where she honed skills she consistently utilized throughout her shining, vibrant time here with us, capturing all of our favorite memories.
She expressed her love with baked goods and socks at Christmas time to her many grandchildren and niece and nephews, whom she leaves behind: Brandi and husband Brad Hicks; Levi and wife Sara Wilson; Tiffany and husband Paul Turk; Cody and wife Cherie Rowden; Adriana and husband Josh Taylor; Dustin Cluck; Christine and husband Michael Wilson; Aimee Wilkee; Linda and husband Joseph Sloane; Maria Villalobos; Amber and husband Jose Deluna; Jacob Villalobos; Rose Lynn Frye; Benny and wife Shonda Holder; Justin Holder, and his sister Khristi Smith. They will all keep alive her memory with stories passed down to her 25 great-grandchildren and great-nieces and nephews. Memories include fried bologna and never forgetting a radio birthday shout-out.
The bright light she radiated here on earth is now shining down on us from above. She will be insurmountably missed by her children Anita and husband Danny Villalobos, Garrett Wilson, and Becky and husband Frank Flora, as well as her brother Danny and wife Freta Holder. She showed us all just how incredibly strong, stubborn and feisty she was over the last years. Her fight was difficult, but she did not need to suffer long, for she knew what goodness awaited her and the loved ones with whom she would reunite.
She was preceded in death by her step-daughter, Cyndi.
We would love for you to join us in celebrating Carolyn and the time we enjoyed with her this Thursday with visitation from 6-8.pm. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Her funeral services will be held on Friday at 1:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, with graveside services to follow, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
