Catherine “Cathy” Myers Carroll, 72 , gained her wings on March 23, 2020 after a short illness.

Cathy was born in Nebraska on March 8, 1948 to Walter and Leora Myers. She moved to Taney County, MO when she was 2 along with her parents and older siblings. She graduated from Forsyth High School where she met and married Richard “Rick” Carroll. They were blessed with 48 years of marriage and two children. After Rick’s discharge from the Air Force, they made their home in Powersite, MO. Cathy was employed in the healthcare field working in several of the area’s nursing homes until she retired in 1996 to babysit her grand children. Shortly before Rick retired from C of O they moved to Billings, MO to the family farm. Cathy enjoyed spending time with her family, her church (Marionville Church of the Nazarene), her TOPS group, and was an avid reader and quilter.

Cathy was preceded in death by her parents, husband Rick in 2016 and her sister and bother-in-law Eileen and Lloyd Cook. She is survived by her daughter Tina (Steven) Rector of Fair Grove, MO and son Shawn (Alathia) Carroll of Birmingham, AL, granddaughter Lynsey Rector (fiancé Caleb Miller) and grandson Austen Rector, brother Mike (Ramona) Myers, mother-in-law Belva Carroll, and many well loved nieces, nephews and life long friends. Due to the circumstances of the country right now; a memorial service will be held at a later date.
