Celia Ann Ruble, 74 of Springfield, Missouri received her call from our heavenly father to join him the morning of June 28th, 2021 at 3:27 A.M. She was surrounded by her family following an intense battle with several health conditions.
CeAnn was born in Kansas City, Missouri on April 20th, 1947 to Everett Russell Honeycutt and Marilynn Brent (Vest) Tharp. CeAnn graduated from Parkhill High School in 1965, Kansas City, Missouri. CeAnn married in 1967 to Daryl D. Engel in Leavenworth Kansas and had two children: David and Dana. Upon the untimely death of her husband Daryl, CeAnn remarried in 1980 to Luke Titus Ruble in Willard, Missouri. To this union two more children were born: Timothy and Stephen.
CeAnn was an unwavering member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. She had firm belief and trust in our Heavenly father. CeAnn spent many years working diligently on her family genealogy and building a strong sense of family roots. Following several years of employment as a clerical staff member she returned home to raise her family and support her grandchildren. CeAnn loved spending time chatting and remising about the good old days while playing a game of cards with her family. She loved to explore new recipes she saw on her latest cooking show or use her new kitchen gadget she found on QVC. She took great pride in finding just that right gift for her special someone. Family meant the world to CeAnn. Although she was unable to go outdoors in later years of her life, CeAnn loved to be near the water and sit next to a fishing pool. Often it was the time she spent sitting next to her loved ones rather than her catch of the day.
CeAnn was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Daryl Engel and four siblings, William (Baby Billie), Larry, Daniel (Danny) and JoAnne. She is survived by her husband Luke Ruble, her four children: David Engel and his wife Lisa; Dana Nall and her husband Jerry; Timothy Ruble and his wife Heather and Stephen Ruble. CeAnn had nine grandchildren: Ashley, David Junior, Tyler, Kirkland, Kylie, MiKayla, Riley, Reed and Mattis. CeAnn had two great grand-children: Adelynn and Jason. CeAnn’s best friend and only surviving sibling; Joyce Hutton and her husband Derrol. She had several nieces and nephews and a multitude of great friends.
On Friday, July 2, 2021 at Greenlawn North, visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M. to 10:00 A.M. with chapel services following. Burial will take place at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
