Charlene Ardith Palmer, born on July 11, 1941 in Council Bluffs, IA to Floy M. Austin Myers and Will Myers. Charlene passed away on February 6, 2026 on her family farm in Long Lane, MO. She was a long time cook in the restaurant business feeding many neighbors and friends throughout the years, even feeding the neighborhood often where she lived. She loved the family farm raising beef cattle for many years.
Charlene is preceded in death by her parents, Will Myers and Floy Austin Myers, also by her husband, Jerry Palmer. She is survived by her children, Robert Hitchcock and Tammy, Richard Hitchcock and Shelly Key, Ginger Wimberly and Dennis. She is also survived by her step-children, Jeri Ann Evans, Daniel Palmer and Dawn McPherson along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
There will be a Celebration of life for Charlene on the family farm at a later date.
