Charles “Buddy” Edgar Sims passed away in his home in the early hours of the morning November 15, 2019. He was a very strong man who had been facing many health problems for several years. He was born on November 10, 1949, to Floretta and Charles Sims Sr., who both preceded him in death, along with a grandson Zechariah Miles.
He is survived by two children, Brad Sims and wife Amanda, of Springfield, MO, two granddaughters, Marli Sims and Aubree Sims, of Springfield, one daughter, Angela Winder (who was living with Bud at the time), grandson, Damon Miles, granddaughter, Brianna Miles, of Lebanon, and great-granddaughter, Everleigh Grace Miles (Collins). He sure loved his grandchildren.
He is also survived by three sisters and their families: Gary and Delores Messier and their three children, Brian, Kim and Dusty and their families, Donna Crouch of Republic and her three children, Andrew, Chad and Rhonda Crouch and their families, and Carolyn and Todd Morisset and their children, Kriston, Craig, Natalie and Ian. All of this amazing family.
Buddy was a hard working man with over 30 years in the Local 178 Plumbers and Pipefitters Union. He also belonged to the Grand Masonic Lodge #422 and was a good-standing member of the Keystone Kops with Abou Ben Adhem Shriners.
Bud will have have Masonic services on Thursday, November 21, 2019, at 5:00 pm, with visitation to follow until 7:00 PM at Greenlawn Funeral Home North, 3506 N. National Avenue in Springfield.
