Halford Case
Charles Halford Case, 80, passed away in Springfield, MO on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Charles was born in Nevada, Iowa, on October 21, 1932, and graduated from Nevada High School in 1951.
He enlisted in the U. S. Army and served during the Korean War. He was an Executive in the telecommunications industry, working 20 years each for AT&T and Honeywell. He married Helen (Morris) Case on June 13, 1952 in Elizabeth, KY. He was an avid sportsman, competing in National and State Sporting Clays, 3D Archery and Cowboy Action Shooting. He had a private pilot’s license and enjoyed flying his own plane.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents, one uncle and three aunts.
He is survived by his wife, Helen Case, his children and their spouses; Lindy Madson and husband Lorren, Mark Case, Steven Case and wife Julie, and Lori Case. He greatly loved his eight grandchildren; Christian Case, Jeffrey Case, Jennifer Case and husband Kevin Lentz, Emily Case, Josh Madson and wife Vikkie, Joel Madson, Charlie Cornwall and Henry Cornwall and three great-grandchildren; Conner Case, Noella Case-Lentz and Natasha Madson. He is also survived by his siblings and spouses; Lynn Williams, Donna King and husband Richard; his nieces and nephews, Michael King and wife Kathy, Greta Duve and husband Gerald, Karen Campbell and husband Gene, Joy Sun and husband Rusty; and his cousins Bob Farrington, Joan Farrington, Marian Strickler, and James Strickler.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Salvation Army.
