Charles “Jerry” Choate, age 69, of Springfield, MO. passed away on June 18, 2024, at Cox South Hospital. Jerry was born to Richard and Helen (Schneider) Choate on March 14, 1955 in Springfield, MO. Jerry was an account rep. for an Industrial Supply Company until he retired. When he was not working he enjoyed watching Nascar and football. For many years he enjoyed bowling and was an avid golfer. On days when the sun was shining, you could find him riding his Harley.

Jerry was a great father and the most amazing Pa Pa. Whether it was camping, listening to music or just being there with them; this is where he was his happiest. He will be missed by many because not only was he an incredible family man, but also a wonderful friend.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his life companion: Paula Moore, daughter Nikki Choate and her husband, Dalton and his son, Jerry Lee Choate and his wife Molly, two grandchildren: Bexley and Hesston York, one sister: Mary McCleary and her husband, Jim, five brothers: Rob Choate and his wife: Nancy, Richard Choate and his wife, Kerry, Kelly Choate and his wife Carol, Norman and Steve Choate. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews
A Memorial visitation for Jerry will be held on Thursday, June 27, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
