Charles W. Dingus, 89 of Pleasant Hope, Missouri passed away at Strafford Care Center on November 19, 2012.
He was born to Willis and Mary Dingus on January 20th, 1923, in Mound City, Kansas.
He worked in a defense plant in Kansas City as a Bomber Builder where he mounted machine guns onto B-25 bombers. Here he met Menelia Johnson and they were joined in marriage on March 8th 1947.
Charles went on to work for MFA Inc. as a field auditor for over 30 years in Kansas City, Columbia and Pleasant Hope, Missouri. He also worked as an auditor in Hutchinson, Kansas for the CR Rock Co.
Charles is survived by his daughter; Cindy Christenson and her husband Eric, of Hastings, Nebraska, his son; Mitchell and his wife Bonnie of Pleasant Hope, Missouri, four grandchildren; Erica May of Kearney, Nebraska, Charnel Christenson of Kearney, Nebraska, Charlie Christenson of Hastings, Nebraska and Cameron Dingus of Pleasant Hope, Missouri.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and sister, his wife, Menelia and his daughter, Debra.
Visitation will be at Pitts Chapel in Bolivar, Missouri on Tuesday November 27th, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. Funeral Services will be held at Pitts Chapel on Wednesday November 28th at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in Pleasant Hope Cemetery.
