In my Father’s house are many mansions: If it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. John 14:2 Cherlyn Valerie Hill entered her mansion, perfectly healed, on August 18, 2009, at the age of 61 years. She was born in Siloam Springs, Ark., on August 2, 1948. She was preceded in death by her father, Joe Owens; her mother, Dee Douthit Owens; and two brothers, Robert Owens and Joe David Owens. Cherlyn is survived by her husband of 41 years, Harlan Hill; her daughter, Andee Coble and husband, Dave; her son, Matt Hill; her sister, Ruth Ann High; her birth father, Wayne Scarberry; and a half brother, Brian Scarberry, both of Tulsa, Okla.; her three grandchildren, Mason, Gage and Brooklyn Coble; and a host of extended family and friends. Cherlyn loved her church home of Broadway Baptist, where she was a faithful member and Sunday school teacher. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, August 22, in Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Burial will follow in Clear Creek Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday, August 21, from 6 to 8 p.m., in the funeral home. For those who wish, in lieu of flowers, a donation can be made to Broadway Baptist Church building fund, in Cherlyn’s honor.
