Chester A. Sechler
Chester A. Sechler, age 88, of Brighton, Mo., passed away Friday, August 28, 2009, in Citizen’s Memorial Healthcare. He was born March 20, 1921, in Pleasant Hope, Mo. He was a member of Brighton Baptist Church. Chester was a life long farmer in the Pleasant Hope area. His love for his family and farming were his passions. His wife, Mildred Pearl Sechler; parents, Alvin and Edith Sechler; and infant daughter, Virginia Sechler, preceded him in death. He is survived by his two sons, Junior Sechler and wife, Rosemary, and Jimmie Sechler and wife, Judy, both of Pleasant Hope, Mo.; sister Charlene Belden and husband, Ernest of Springfield, Mo.; brother Dale Sechler and wife, Carol of Columbia, Mo; five grandsons, Randy and wife, Robin, Brent and wife, Michelle, Steven and wife, Barbara, Scott, and Shane and wife, Michele; great-grandkids, Shay, Eric, Stephanie, Krystine, Shelby and Garrett; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of family and friends. Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, August 31, 2009, in Brighton Cemetery, with Rev. Ed Brock officiating, under the direction of Pitts Chapel of Bolivar, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 30, 2009, in Pitts Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice. The family would like to thank Citizens Memorial Healthcare and Hospice for the loving care they gave to Chester in the final months of his life.
