Chlorene Bonnie LaRue, age 88 years and 8 months, of Reeds Spring, Missouri, died on September 4, 2011 at 12:15 P.M. at her home.
She was a life long native of Stone County, Missouri. She was born in Cape Fair, Missouri to Frank and Mae Carr, on January 22, 1923. Chloe attended Reeds Spring School and graduated in 1942. She was married to Willard Cross, he was killed in the war, and then she married Fred LaRue of which they owned and operated the Reeds Spring Appliance store for over 27 years.
Chloe was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mae Carr (Pendergrass), her step-dad, Ownes Pendergrass, husband, Fred LaRue, her brother, Chester B. Carr and a sister, Opal P. Plummer.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Reeds Spring.
Chloe was well known for her hard work and wit. She enjoyed local history and reading.
She is survived by a host of cousins.
Services will be at Greenlawn Funeral Home-Branson, MO Thursday, September 8, 2011 at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Joe Wolven officiating. Visitation will be from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial will be at Cape Fair Cemetery, Cape Fair, Missouri.
