Christa Charlotte (Werner) McLaughlin
October 16, 1928 – June 12, 2022
Christa was born in Netszchkau, Germany (formerly East Germany). Christa grew up during WWII and realized her life-long dream to come to America in 1952. She was preceded in death by her parents, Christine (Lorenzen)Werner and Paul Konrad Werner; her late husband, John William McLaughlin, and her late son, Max Mark McLaughlin. She was also preceded in death by brothers Artur (Rosel) Werner, Paul (Traudel) Werner, Harry (Gudrun) Werner, Bruno (Christel) Werner, and Fritz (Christa) Werner. Christa is survived by her youngest brother, Hans (Susan) Werner, of Pennsylvania and her daughter, Ingrid McLaughlin Taylor, of Springfield, Missouri.
Christa was a longtime member of Jehovah’s Witnesses both in Riverview, Florida, and Cabool and Springfield congregations in Missouri. A memorial service will be held at the Cedar Valley Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2857 N East Ave, Springfield, Missouri, on Saturday, July 2nd at 1:30 pm. Christa will be interred with her late husband in Millenocket, Maine.
Many thanks to the staff at Springfield Villa, especially those in the Faith memory care unit, for the outstanding and loving care provided, for becoming part of our family during this very challenging life experience.
