Christopher Marples, 65, of Springfield, Missouri, passed away at home on October 23, 2026. He was born on May 12, 1961, in Denver, Colorado, to Julie Campbell and Bill Marples.

Christopher met the love of his life, Angela Bartchlett, through his sister Sherry in the fall of 1988. They quickly found a special connection and married on December 26, 1988. For about 30 years, they worked for the same company in California, making products for water filtration systems, before moving together to Springfield.

A lover of music, Christopher enjoyed a wide range of music, from rock ‘n’ roll to country, and even had his own guitars and a drum set. He studied Machining in college and loved making things. He and Angela loved spending time outdoors at nature centers and state parks, as well as taking on do-it-yourself home renovations together.

Christopher was preceded in death by his father, Bill Marples, and his brother, David Marples. He is survived by his wife, Angela Marples; his mother, Julie Campbell; his daughters, Crystal Marples and Sarah Marples; his siblings, Kerry, Terry, Sherry, and Douglas; his grandson, Lennon Richardson; and his beloved dogs, Cookie and Zoe.
