Christopher Thomas Colson, 38, of Springfield, Missouri passed away on Saturday, December 31, 2022. Chris was born on June 20, 1984 to Larry and Karen (Moody) Colson.

Chris graduated from Kickapoo High School in 2003. He went to West Central Missouri University, graduating in 2008 with a BS in Aviation Technology. He worked at O’Reilly Automotive for over 15 years, then at EFCO in Monett for about a year. In 2017, he relocated to Louisville, Kentucky near his brother Cory, going to work at ADI Global Distribution for a little over five years, becoming 2021 Salesperson of the Year.

Chris was an outdoors enthusiast, enjoying fishing, camping, hiking and canoeing. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and driving and restoring his 1972 Buick Skylarks. Chris was a very kind, compassionate, thoughtful, giving and forgiving person.

Chris is survived by his parents, Larry and Karen Colson, brother Cory Colson and his fiancé Jennifer Meeker, his aunts Kathy (Kenny) Moody and Patty Grubbs, his cousin Will and his wife Hannah and their children, along with numerous extended family members.

Chris was preceded in death by his grandparents, Thomas and Nancy Moody, Bob and Vetha Colson, uncle Jerry Grubbs and Aunt Susan Moody Shafer.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home South, 441 W. Battlefield, Springfield. Private/family graveside services will be held Friday, January 6, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Manley Cemetery.
