Cleal Ross Cooper, age 82, of Rogersville, MO, passed away Thursday, October 6, 2011, at Cox Walnut Lawn. He was born April 3, 1929, in Willow Springs, MO, to Herbert and Pearl (Cox) Cooper. He graduated from Willow Springs High School, and attended SMS on a football scholarship for four years. He was united in marriage to Marjorie Greenwood December 15, 1962. He worked in the Dairy business for over 63 years, the last 33 at Hiland Dairy where he retired this past July as a Regional Sales Manager.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son Rodney Cooper; one grandson Dalton Cooper; three brothers: Jack, Dean, and Terry Cooper; and one sister Lorene Wyrick.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Marjorie A. (Greenwood) Cooper, of the home; two sons: Ric Cooper and wife Melanie of MI, and Todd Cooper and wife Patty of Ozark, MO; two daughters: Vickie Carter and husband Jack of Battlefield, MO, and Robin Sauls and fiancee Bruce Line of Ozark, MO; five grandchildren: Jessica and Cassi Cooper, Erika O’Malley and husband John, Zac Pleus and wife Ashley, and Cooper Sauls; four step grandsons: David Carter, Aaren Adams, Brett Adams, and Shaun Adams and their families; three great grandchildren and one step great grandson; two brothers Kak Cooper and wife Ruth of Jefferson City, MO, and Jerry Cooper of Eminence, MO; one sister Lucille of CA; and his step-mother Virginia Cooper of Eminence, MO; as well as many other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 10, 2011, at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Springfield, MO. Burial will follow in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 p.m. on Monday, October 10, 2011, in the funeral home. Arrangements have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home East, Springfield, MO.
