Cleo Lee Dawson, 80 went to his Heavenly Father on Friday, January 27, 2012. Lee was born July 28, 1931 to Harold A. and Hazel Crouse Dawson in Albion, Iowa. Upon graduating from high school in Marshalltown, Iowa, Lee entered the Navy and served on the USS Princeton from July 14, 1951 to July 13, 1959 as a Radar Man Second Class.
Lee was a self made man who built his own custom made furniture and upholstery business and then entered into real estate investment. He served as a deacon at Shadow Mountain Community Church in El Cajon, CA. Lee was on Advisory Board for Teen Challenge of San Diego, CA and two christian camping clubs.
Lee was preceded in death by his daughter, Rhonda Renae Dawson, his wife, Edith Mae Dawson, two brothers, Virgil Dwight and Edwin Ellsworth Dawson, and a sister, Velda Corrine Yoder.
He is survived by his wife of 11 years, Rosemarie Graham Dawson, two sons David Lee Dawson, Mark Dewayne Dawson and daughter-in-law Nora Dawson, a brother, Ellis Crouse Dawson and his wife, Gayle; an honorary brother, Ed Woolsey; two step-daughters, Rebekah Ann Graham and husband Mark Graham and Lesti Dawn Huff; six grandchildren, nine great grand children; several nieces and nephews and many friends.
Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, February 1, 2012 in Greenlawn Funeral Home East. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Tuesday in the funeral home. Interment will be at a later date under the care of Glen Abbey Memorial Park in Bonita, CA.
Lee loved his God family and Church very much and now he is with his Heavenly Father and many loved ones in Heaven.
