Cletis Joan Hagler, age 89, of Nixa, Missouri, passed away at her home on March 26, 2024. She was born on July 1, 1934, in Cotton Center, Texas, to Clinton and Julia Ponder, and graduated from Central High School. On December 23, 1950, she married Joe Link Hagler in Berryville, Arkansas. This was a love story that lasted 64 years until Joe’s passing. They were proud owners of a dairy farm for many of those years.
Cletis is preceded in death by her husband, Joe Link Hagler; and her brother, Howard Ponder. She is survived by 2 children, Russell Hagler (wife Saundra) and Teresa Pitzer (husband Brad); 3 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Cletis was kind and gentle…always thinking of others…rather than herself. Her departure was swift…and left us bereft…but Cletis was a Lady. And a Lady always knows when to leave.
There will be a graveside service celebrating Cletis’s life at 10:00 am, April 1, 2024, at Crane Community Cemetery. Funeral services have been entrusted to Greenlawn Funeral Home East.
