God was calling roll call “up yonder” on Friday, September 23rd, 2022, and Connie heard her name, so God met her at the pearly gates and welcomed her home to stay!
Connie was born March 2nd, 1948, at Burge Protestant Hospital in Springfield, as the second of five children, to Bill and Marie Alcorn.
Connie married Ben Randall in 1965 and they brought three beautiful children into the world. She is survived by her children, Angela Randall-Davis and husband, Mike, Bryon Randall and wife, Vicki, and Andrea Randall. Connie is also survived by five grandchildren: Zachary, Brittany, Jessica, Amanda, and Ashlynn. Also, she had nine great-grandchildren, which she loved so much and adored. Still living are her sisters, Sharon Rook and Julie Arnold, and brother, Jimmy Alcorn. She also had countless nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Connie grew up and attended Hillcrest High School, Class of 1965. She lived in Connecticut early in her marriage and later returned to Springfield. She lived in Willard for a few years, before returning to Springfield.
Connie worked in the healthcare field all her life. She was a certified medical assistant at Cox North, then ran the optical department at Ozark Eye Surgeons, at Mercy. She then went on to become a Certified Pharmacy Technician at Mercy, until her retirement.
Connie loved people! She witnessed about Jesus to everyone she met. She was such a giving person. You did not leave her house without something in your hands from her! She loved walking in the park, God’s beautiful outdoors, and especially the ocean at Gulf Shores.
Connie believed in living “One Day at a Time.” She counseled many people with her godly wisdom and was always grateful for God’s love.
We will miss her not being here on this Earth but find peace in knowing she is now with the One who loves us unconditionally, our Heavenly Father!
A visitation for Connie will be held on Wednesday, September 28th, 2022, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Her funeral will be at Greenlawn North on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 3:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
