Coy David Daniels, 69, of Seymour, Missouri, passed away peacefully at his home on June 8, 2026. David was born on January 13, 1957, in Harrison, Arkansas, to Coy and Mozella (Carr) Daniels. He lived in Harrison until he moved to Seymour, Missouri, in 1987. David was united in marriage to June Nixon on April 29, 1974. Together they built a loving family and welcomed three beautiful daughters: Shannon, Robyn, and Kimberly.

David owned and operated the Sears store in Bolivar for 18 years. Prior to that, he worked as a self-employed carpet installer for 29 years, a trade he learned from his father. When David wasn’t working, he enjoyed watching football, especially the Arkansas Razorbacks and Kansas City Chiefs. Having played football in high school, his love for the game stayed with him throughout his life. He also enjoyed old westerns and classic cars. Above all else, David cherished spending time with his family. David will always be remembered as a devoted father, Poppy, brother, uncle, and friend. His kindness, love, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Coy and Mozella Daniels; wife, June Daniels; daughter, Kimberly Daniels; and grandson, Hayden. He is survived by his daughters, Shannon Daniels and Robyn Daniels, both of Springfield, Missouri; grandchildren, Alexis Hester (Dallas), Julliannah, Jace, and Jaxon Fender; great-granddaughter, Layla Hester; sister, Kathy Lowery (Jim); a special niece, Heather Minshall; and many other beloved nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield, Missouri. A visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., with the Celebration of Life following immediately at 3:00 p.m.
