Curtis David Houchins, age 45, of Springfield, Mo., passed away Friday, March 11, 2011 in St. John’s Medical Center after a sudden illness. He was born March 13, 1965, in Springfield, Mo., to Donald and Dixie (Lister) Houchins.
Curtis worked at Harter House for four years. He enjoyed floating and camping with his wife, he loved to watch football and NASCAR. Curtis was a very kind and loving man who will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Houchins. He is survived by his wife, Christina Marie Houchins of the home; his mother, Dixie Duray Houchins of Springfield; one son, Brandon Clossard of Springfield; one brother, Andrew Houchins of Springfield.
A memorial visitation will be held from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2011 in Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Curtis donated his tissues and organs as a last act of his kindness to help others.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
