Cynthia Rose Stroup, age 68, of Springfield, MO passed from this life on March 12, 2019 after a long battle with heart disease and diabetes. She was born on May 28, 1950 in Guymon, Oklahoma to Bob and Wanda Johnson. While living in Rolla, MO as a teenager she would meet her future husband and love of her life, Charles Edward Stroup. On June 17th, 1967 they were married and remained so until her death. Charles and Cindy raised three boys and were blessed with eleven grandchildren. Cindy loved the Lord and her family and enjoyed making the holidays a special time for her loved ones. She enjoyed reading and gardening and spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Wanda Johnson. She is survived by her husband of nearly 52 years, Charles; Children: Bob (Debbie) Stroup of Willard; Andy (Amanda) Stroup of Marshfield; John Stroup of Springfield; 11 grandchildren: Kory, Ethan, Zack, Abbie, Ella, Nick, Lily, Avery, Emma, Gracyn, and Makenna; Sister: Sue Smith and numerous nephews and nieces.
Services will be held at 3 pm on Friday, March 22 at Greenlawn Funeral Home North in Springfield. Minister Craig Grigson III will be the officiant. Online condolences may be made at www.greenlawnfuneralhome.com
