Cynthia Sue Mahan was born on 7/14/1954 to Lawrence and Gertrude Arnold. She resided in Seymour, MO with her husband Richard Mahan and family.
She was an avid owl collector. There wasn’t an owl she didn’t have. She also enjoyed her coffee, and her all-time favorite word was no. The answer to any question was no. Her favorite pastimes were writing in her books, playing spades, watching her shows: Hawaii Five-O and NCIS, goofing off with us at the river, and spending time with her grandbabies.
She is preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Gertrude Arnold, Ronnie Arnold, and Joyce White.
Cindy is survived by her husband of 46 years, Richard Mahan; daughter, Melissa Mahan; 2 sons: Michael Mahan, and Matthew Mahan and wife Nichole; 2 grandchildren: Mason Mahan and Logan Mahan; 7 brothers, 3 sisters, and many more aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins on both sides.
A visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Funeral services will be at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with a Celebration of Life Potluck following at Smith Park, located at 1500 E. Division St., Springfield, Missouri.
