Dale Daniel DeToni passed from this life peacefully early morning, Wednesday, March 13th, 2024. He was 72 years old. He was born July 26, 1951, in Chicago, Illinois.
Dale married Connie February 19, 2007, in Kauai on Shipwreck Beach. They enjoyed 17 years of bliss.
Dale enjoyed a very adventurous life; never met a stranger and made many friends during his lifetime!
After high school and taking off a year to hitchhike across the United States. He attended college at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale, IL graduating with a bachelor’s degree in Bachelor of Science in radio/television.
Dale moved to Missouri after college. He worked with the Missouri Department of Conservation. He was able to travel to all the conservation areas across Missouri and that is when he fell in love with the Ozarks and never wanted to leave this area after his time at the conservation department, then he moved to Springfield, where he started his own business in 1978. Ozam Productions was known for producing film, video, audio, and Multi-Media for a wide client base for over 30 years.
He traveled to many locations with his business working for companies, such as Dairy Farmers of America, O’Reilly Automotive, Kraft Foods, Shoji Entertainment and many more. He produced location sound for Branson IMAX films and obtained underwater sound and video footage for National Geographic.
One of the adventures that he always loved telling about was his trip to the Amazon to fish for Peacock bass with a group of friends.
He enjoyed participating in many mission trips, including going to Afghanistan, Guatemala, Alaska, and more.
Dale was a big fan of the James River Camp for Kids in Huggins Missouri. He spent a couple of weeks each summer helping with all the camps.
Dale loved Jesus Christ and gave his heart to the Lord. He was baptized in Israel in the Jordan River many years ago.
Dale is preceded in death by his father, Bruno DeToni and brother, Mark.
He is survived by his wife, Connie DeToni, stepdaughter, Alicia (Tom) Gregoroski, and their two sons, Brody and Beckett; Stepson, Warren (Lisa) Galligher and their daughter, Adaline. He is also survived by his mother, Rose DeToni; sister Gina (Tony) Salemi; brother Paul (Ginny) and brother Brian. Dale is also survived by many nieces and nephews, lots of other family and many friends!

Visitation will be held at Greenlawn Funeral Home East, 3540 E Seminole, Springfield, MO 65809, from 1:00 to 2:00 pm, Sunday, March 17, 2024, with a Funeral Service immediately following at 2:00 pm. Burial will take place Monday, March 18, 2024 at Oakdale Cemetery, Houston, MO.
