Dale Myers, 84, of Springfield, left this life to meet our Lord, Savior and Creator on September 5, 2012. Dale was born to Grace and Lloyd Myers on August 12, 1928 in Jenks, Oklahoma. Dale graduated from Rogersville High School in 1946. Dale married Carolyn Myers on June 16, 1956 in Lebanon, Missouri, and to this union two daughters were born Rebecca and Tamara. Dale retired from Don Wessel Oldsmobile. He was a member of BMWMOA and the Springfield BMW Road Riders; he enjoyed building black powder guns and using his master auto body skills to work on cars.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Carolyn Sue Myers; his parents, Lloyd and Grace Myers; one sister, Elaine Horne; and two brothers Vern and Robert Myers. He is survived by two daughters, Rebecca Avila of Springfield and Tamara Myers and companion Jimmy Eagleburger of Willard; the apple of his eye, one grandson, Cody Avila; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2012, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North with burial in White Chapel Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, 2012 in the funeral home.
He truly leaves us with a great sadness and hole in our hearts without his presence.
