Dana Lou Sprinkle, of Springfield, went home to be with the Lord in Cox Medical Center on Tuesday, September 14, 2010 surrounded by her family.
Dana was born to Ray and Lavena Sprinkle, of Willard, Missouri on April 26, 1936. Both parents preceded her in death. A niece, Karmen Rae Hartsell; nephew, Lowell Woods; and brother-in-law, Frank Carroll also preceded her in death.
Dana graduated from Willard High School in 1954 and continued her education at Draughon’s Business College. She spent eighteen years as Director of Admissions, Records and Financial Aid at Baptist Bible College in Springfield. She worked as an accounting manager for Plaza Realty and Management in Springfield until her retirement in 2006.
She served as a Sunday School Teacher and pianist most of her lifetime in South Side Baptist Church.
She is survived by three sisters, Sue Carroll, Rama Hartsell and Becky Friend; and brother-in-law, Bob Hartsell, all of Springfield; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends also survive her.
Services are planned for Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11 a.m., in Greenlawn Funeral Home East with Reverend Bud Everett and Reverend Calvin Maberry officiating. Visitation will be one hour prior to service. She will be laid to rest in White Chapel Cemetery in Springfield.
