It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Daniel Evans Shaff, who left us on May 28, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on March 6, 1953, in Ithaca, NY, Dan lived a life filled with service, dedication, and love.

Dan proudly served in the Army, working in Air Defense, and his commitment to his country was a source of pride for him and his family. After his retirement and time in the military, he settled in Harker Heights, TX, with many friends, and later moved to Pittsburg, MO, to help with family.  He never met a stranger.

He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Sheila Shaff; his four children: Raymond “Tom” Music, Beverly Woods, Rebecca Alldredge, and Christine Hickman; 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; two brothers: Jimmy and Bill Shaff; two sisters: Debbie Spencer and Diane Ferris-Spoon; as well as many other relatives and numerous friends.  Dan’s family was his world, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

Daniel was preceded in death by his parents James and Elizabeth (Poole) Shaff.

Dan’s spirit will live on in the stories we share, the laughter we cherish, and the love he leaves behind. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.
