Memorial services for Daniel Joseph Kopanger High age 74 of Branson West, Missouri will be held at 11:00 am, Saturday, June 1, 2013 at the First Christian Church in Kimberling City, Missouri with Pastor Jerry Jenkins officiating. Arrangements and cremation were under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home in Branson, Mo.
He passed away on May 24, 2013 at his home near Branson West.
He was born on November 1, 1938 in Reno, Nevada the son of William Lloyd High and Naomi Kopanger High. He graduated from Highland Park High School in Topeka, Kansas in 1956 and from Washburn University Law School in Topeka, Kansas in 1963 was a Juris Doctor law degree. He was an attorney and his entrepreneurial spirit caused him to venture in various business endeavors over the years.
He was a member of First Christian Church in Kimberling City, Missouri where he served as a substitute adult Sunday school teacher for a few years and as an Elder for several months before his passing.
Dan is survived by his wife of 25+ years, Deborah (Debbie) Johnson High of the home, three sons, Gregory Scott High and wife Reah of Shingle Springs, California, David Kent High and wife Leta of Las Vegas, Nevada and Matthew William High and wife Kris of Farmington, Utah, two daughters, Joni High of Farmington, Utah and Laura High Guajardo and husband Leo of Seattle, Washington. Five grandchildren, Jason & Tyler High, Paul Carter, Berlyn and Addyson High and Stella Guarjardo, two sisters; Selma (Sammy) Peck and husband Ed and Julie Thompson and husband Stan. Preceding him in death were his parents, and son, Daniel Joseph High Jr.
