Danny Loyde Neal, 73, of Bolivar, Missouri, passed away at his home on April 7, 2024. Danny was born in Bolivar on May 13, 1950, to Billy Dale and Ruth (Mincks) Neal. He was a 1968 graduate of Bolivar High School. After high school, Danny joined the United States Navy and served in Vietnam. He then moved his family to Sicily, Italy. Danny retired from the Navy in 1992 as a Master Chief Petty Officer. Danny worked for Cascade Steel in McMinnville, Oregon, where he retired from after 20 years. Then he moved back to Bolivar to be close to his parents and family. During his retirement, Danny had many hobbies. He enjoyed watching racing, fishing, hunting, and the occasional estate sale.
Danny is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Sharon (Stafford) Neal; wife, Cindy (Burnell) Neal; his brother, Artie Neal, and nephew, Shawn Martinez.
Danny is survived by his sons: James Neal, of Virginia Beach, VA, Daniel Neal, of McMinnville, OR, and Jeffrey Neal, of Bolivar, MO; grandchildren: Danielle Skinner, of North Carolina, and Nathaniel Cornett of Georgia; siblings: Roger Neal, of Bolivar, Terry Neal, and wife, Debbie, of Bolivar, Denise Larkin, and husband, Greg, of Bolivar, and Jenise Hamby, and husband, Jerry, of Bolivar; step-children, Dennis Phipps and Qiana Phipps, and step-grandchildren, Leif Phipps-Irvine and Koree Phipps- Gannaway.
A visitation for Danny will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Pitts Chapel. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. at Pitts Chapel. Inurnment will take place on Monday, May 13, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. at the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Springfield, Missouri.
