In Loving Memory of Danny Ray Reagan
Danny Ray Reagan, age 81, of Centerton AR, passed away peacefully on June 1, 2026 at Highlands Health and Rehab. Born on May 29, 1945 in Knoxville, TN, he was the beloved child of Lonnie Reagan and Mamie (McCarter) Reagan.
Danny was known for his honesty, strength, commitment to excellence, and dedication to family and friends. Throughout his life, he touched the hearts of many and left a lasting impression on all who knew him.
He attended Blue Eye High School, was drafted into the US ARMY and served in the Vietnam War for 2 years, and then returned and completed his Bachelors of Science degree at Columbia University in accounting. He then went on to work for the US government in the Dept. of Corrections. During his 30 year federal career, he earned numerous accolades for his professionalism and dedicated service.
Outside of work, Danny enjoyed farming, hunting, fishing, and playing multiple sports. He especially loved baseball and softball, playing throughout his lifetime including high school, semi pro and in state and national tournaments. He also loved coaching sports including women’s softball and basketball. Family gatherings, time spent with loved ones, and his annual January 1 college football/crab legs celebration brought him great joy.
Danny is survived by his spouse Rita Boyer-Reagan and step daughters Hannah Brown and Laura Mullins, son Michael Reagan and daughter Michelle Reagan–children of Larania (Smith) Reagan, Grandchildren:Lauren Crowell, Caitlin May, Rebecca Epley, Bethany Lutat, Mary Timmerman, Christian Reagan, Haden Champlin,Quinne Reagan, Graham Brown, Mallory Brown, Elizabeth Mullins and 10 great grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loved ones who will cherish his memory.
He was preceded in death by his parents Lonnie and Mamie Reagan, and nine siblings–Virginia Matlock, James Reagan, Dexter Reagan, Troy Reagan, Thelma Wyatt, Earl Reagan, Baxter Reagan, Earl Shannon Reagan, Patricia Reagan.
Those who knew Danny will remember him for his 70+ years of devotion to the St. Louis Cardinals, a tireless work ethic, and a commitment to keeping his word. His legacy of love, compassion, and dedication to others will continue to inspire all who were fortunate enough to know him.
A visitation will be held on June 8 beginning at 11:30 AM at Greenlawn Funeral home in Branson, MO. The funeral service begins at 12:30. Graveside services will take place on June 8 at 2:30 in Blue Eye, MO with burial to follow at the Blue Eye Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Blue Eye Community Center/Library.
Though Danny is no longer with us, his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends– forever.
