Darlene Dolores Stiles, age 92, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Wednesday afternoon, January 13, 2021 with her husband of 72 years and youngest son by her side.

Darlene was born in Redfield, South Dakota on October 11, 1928 to the late O.V and Gracie Jeffers. She married Gordon in 1948 and together they built a life centered on Christ and family. Whether she was speaking at a Christian Women’s Conference, baking goodies or serving in church, you could always see the love of Christ shining through her.

Dar took pride and joy in raising 3 outstanding sons. Her piles of grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the twinkle in her eye. She set a Godly example for her family that will lead them all their lives.

Darlene loved her Savior, the Lord Jesus, with all her heart and she loved God’s word. Though she was a gentle woman, Darlene was nonetheless a powerful prayer warrior, and only heaven knows what a wonderful and eternal impact all her many years of faithful prayer have had on her family and her friends.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 21, 2021 from 10:00-11:00 am at Greenlawn North Funeral Home. Followed by a service to celebrate her life at 11:00 am. Interment will immediately follow the service at Maple Park Cemetery.

Darlene is survived by her husband, Gordon F. Stiles; her sons, Thomas (Deborah) Stiles, Curtis (Lenise) Stiles; Daughters-in-law, Karen Stiles, Tammy Stiles; grandchildren, Brian (Karyn), Bradley (Jennifer), Kimberly, Kristin (Nick), Jennifer, Scottie (Nicole), Austin (Emily), Karissa; great-grandchildren, Samuel, Sarah, Finn, Kya, Adeleigh, Beckett, Jaxson, Graham, Carter; sister, Nadine Jeffers Vandercook.

Darlene is preceded in death by her parents, O.V. and Gracie Jeffers; her brother, Winfield Scott Jeffers; her son, Scott Alan Stiles.
